Little Feet, Big Smiles: Paddleboarding with My Kid

Little Feet, Big Smiles: Paddleboarding with My Kid

Took my 6-year-old out on the hiwave last weekend, and wow — best decision ever. I wasn’t sure how it would go, but the board felt super stable, even with both of us on it. He sat right in front, legs dangling, giggling every time we hit a tiny wave.

We paddled around the edge of the lake, pointed out turtles, birds, even a few jumping fish. It turned into an impromptu science lesson, with a splash or two in between. And when he got tired, he just laid back on the board like it was a floating bed.

What made it work? The wide deck and soft, grippy surface. I never felt like we’d tip — and trust me, with a wiggly kid, that’s saying something.

By the end, he was asking if we could go again tomorrow. That’s the magic of hiwave. It’s not just a board — it’s a memory-maker.
